Book Fair

The OTE Book Fair is a fun way to build home libraries, get kids excited about reading, and support our school. Students shop during their scheduled class time, and families are invited to shop together during Family Nights. We offer cashless options like Scholastic eWallet, and there’s also an online shopping window for anyone who can’t make it in person.

How Book Fair works at OTE
  • Classroom shopping: Each class has a scheduled time to shop during the school day.
  • Family Nights: Families are invited to shop together during evening hours.
  • Cashless options: Scholastic eWallet is available for students (and cash is always welcome too, if you prefer).
  • Online shopping: A separate online window is available for families who can’t attend in person.
  • Teacher Wish Lists: Families can purchase books for classrooms through teacher wish lists (when available).
Scholastic eWallet (cashless student shopping)

eWallet is a simple way for students to shop without bringing cash to school. Funds are linked to your student and are looked up at checkout.

  1. Visit the OTE Book Fair page: bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/overlandtrailelementarysch
  2. Create an account (or sign in) and set up an eWallet for each student.
  3. Add funds to your student’s eWallet.
  4. Tip: Use your student’s full name and teacher so we can find it quickly at checkout.
Teacher Wish Lists

When teacher wish lists are available, families can purchase books to support classroom libraries. Our book fair offers donor stickers, so you are able to include a sticker that identifies your child/family as the donor.

What students can buy during school-day shopping

School-day shopping focuses on books and a limited set of small items (when available). Family Nights typically offer a wider selection, including many non-book items.
